Solar Canopy Visualization Series
Bringing solar infrastructure into perspective.

The story
Ever wondered what a parking lot would look like with hundreds of solar panels overhead?
That's exactly what this visualization series set out to answer.
Across multiple locations in the United States, Crisostomo Architects was commissioned to create photorealistic renderings of proposed solar canopy installations, helping clients visualize how these structures would integrate into existing parking facilities.
Each project came with its own set of requirements, including precise canopy locations, configurations, and solar panel quantities.
While the canopy designs and specifications were provided, our role was to bring everything into three dimensions, modeling the solar structures, panels, and surrounding environments to accurately represent each proposed installation.
Some sites required complete 3D reconstruction. Others involved carefully matching our models with existing street-level photographs, which could get particularly tricky when suitable reference images were limited.
From parking-lot perspectives to aerial views, each completed package featured high-resolution 4K visualizations that made the proposed installations easier to understand and present.
Because even the most technical projects deserve visuals that tell a clear story.
And sometimes, that story starts in a parking lot.
