Elena Residence
A new chapter deserves a little more space.

The story
Retirement usually means slowing things down, enjoying more time with family, and finally having a little more room to breathe.
For the owners of Elena Residence, it also meant that their longtime family home was starting to feel a little too small.
Fortunately, they didn't have to look far for a fresh start. With an available lot right next door, they decided to build a new home that would offer more space, comfort, and convenience for the years ahead.
The result is a two-storey modern tropical residence designed around the family's everyday needs.
One of the most important decisions was placing the master bedroom on the ground floor. With the homeowners entering their retirement years, we wanted to make everyday living a little easier, keeping their bedroom accessible without the need to climb the stairs each day.
The ground floor brings together the main living spaces, including the living and dining areas, kitchen, and a lanai for relaxing outdoors. Upstairs, three additional bedrooms and a family area provide plenty of room for the rest of the household.
Of course, building a home doesn't always mean sticking to the original plan down to the last detail.
As construction progressed, a few things evolved. Some rooms were made larger, a toilet was relocated, and ceiling heights were adjusted. These changes extended the construction timeline, but also allowed the finished home to reflect the updated requirements.
From the architectural design and interiors to the final construction details, Crisostomo Architects handled the project from design through completion.
And while Elena Residence may not have been conceived as an extravagant architectural statement, that's exactly what makes its story meaningful.
Sometimes, a great home isn't about doing something extraordinary. It's simply about making everyday life a little better.
