Patio Vargas

The story

Sometimes, creating a dream home doesn't mean starting from scratch.

For our California-based client, the goal was to give his parents something special: a permanent home in Mexico where they could settle in and enjoy the years ahead.

But instead of building something entirely new, the idea was to give an existing property a fresh beginning.

And that's where Patio Vargas came in.

Taking inspiration from modern Mexican architecture, the design brings together warm textures, natural-looking materials, and distinctive architectural details. Soft arches, wood accents, and patterned breeze blocks create an inviting atmosphere that feels contemporary while celebrating the character of its surroundings.

The proposed layout connects comfortable living spaces with outdoor leisure areas, including a private patio and swimming pool, bringing a little resort-like relaxation into everyday life.

Working from the client's existing plans, Crisostomo Architects developed the architectural design and visualizations to help bring the transformation to life.

Because sometimes, the best way to create something new is to see the potential in what's already there.

And for Patio Vargas, that potential was a place the family could truly call home.
